Infertility Evaluation & Testing Services
One in six couples have difficulty conceiving. Who should seek assistance from a reproductive endocrinologist? If you meet any of these criteria, it is time to make an appointment:
- If you have been trying (not using any form of contraception) to conceive for one year or longer without success
- If the female partner is 35 or older and you have been trying for six months or longer
- If you have had two or more miscarriages
- If you think that there may be a reason for you to have difficulty conceiving (e.g. prior chemotherapy or radiation treatment)

Our tests for infertility are individualized and based on a patient’s medical problems. Some of the most common tests performed for a fertility evaluation include:
- Hormonal assessment during the first few days of the menstrual cycle checking a woman’s ovarian reserve with a follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and estradiol levels.
- Transvaginal ultrasound exam – an ultrasound done using a probe inserted into a woman’s vagina (which is the best way to visualize the ovaries and uterus).
