I am pregnant and suffering from constipation for the first time. What can I do? 

Constipation is more common in pregnancy as more fluid gets reabsorbed as contents move through the intestines. Increase your fluid intake & fiber intake with fruit, dried fruit or a fiber supplement like Metamucil.

If still a problem, take a stool softener like colace.
